Child Cyber Safety Night at the Ballpark – September 6, 2014
I Know Better (INOBTR), a public outreach organization and Office of Justice Programs’ grantee working in partnership with Department of Justice leadership, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Internet Crimes Against Children task force program, coordinated this event to raise awareness and encourage parents to engage in an ongoing dialogue with their children regarding safe online and cell phone practices.
The event included a pre-game public service announcement from Attorney General Eric H. Holder, Jr. and an on-field Spirit Award Recognition. Deputy Attorney General James M. Cole, OJJDP Administrator Bob Listenbee and other key officials represented the Department alongside law enforcement and community partners.
Prevention materials were distributed and experts were available to answer questions at the Community Clubhouse located in Center Field Plaza. We hope you had a chance to speak with one of the representatives and enjoyed the game!
